Erin McClean joins us as Marketing and Admin Intern.
'I have recently graduated from Falmouth University with a 2'1 in Illustration and I was suddenly out in the big bad world with an understanding of what I wanted to do but not how I was going to get there. I have always known I wanted to work somewhere which values and promotes creativity so when I saw the opportunity to be an intern at Young at Art I jumped at it. This internship will give me the chance to learn new skills and gain valuable experience in the creative sector. I am excited to help in marketing the Belfast Children's Festival, I've only been here a short time and I can already see how much passion and planning go into making it come to life. I feel very lucky to have been given this opportunity.'
Erin Moore joins us as Events Education Intern.
'I am from Bangor and I enjoy drawing, listening to music and going to the gym. I have just graduated with a First Class Honours in Leisure and Event Management at Ulster University, Coleraine.
I applied to Young at Art because I have a passion for art, working with children and planning events. This internship is the perfect opportunity to further develop these interests and skills. My role will focus on the planning and organising of the education programmes and a variety of events including the Belfast Children’s Festival which is very exciting!'
Supported by Creative & Cultural Skills NI programme, these 6 month paid internships are for young people aged between 18-24 years olds. Read more about the programme here.
