The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child enshrines a child’s right to freedom of expression and right to participate in cultural and artistic activities.

Assitej International believes much more needs to be done to meet all countries obligations and recommends in its Manifesto involving children and young people through consultation and collaboration. But do we truly listen and take heed of young voices at national and local level?

Join us as we ask a range of policy makers and cultural leaders - what more can be done?

Panel:

Yvette Hardie (Assitej International)

Koulla Yiasouma (NI Commissioner for Children and Young People)

Gilly Campbell (Arts Council NI)

Aideen Howard (The Ark, Dublin)

Discussion chaired by Dr Tom Maguire (Ulster University)
