For three years Prime Cut and writer Fionnuala Kennedy have collaborated with VOYPIC, working with young people in the care system across Northern Ireland, learning from them and exploring their experiences.
Being mindful of the particular circumstances that surround work such as this, not least a duty of care to the safety and anonymity of the participants, Removed is an accurate reflection of the experiences of these young people and provides a platform for voices rarely, if ever, heard.
Adam’s story is fictional. It is not the story of any one individual person, but rather an amalgam of the many various stories heard; some sad, some funny, some terrifying, all very real and very important.
Removed by Fionnuala Kennedy has been developed through Prime Cut’s Participate Programme and is supported by Creative Europe.
Removed will be supported by a series of post-show discussions, workshops and resources. Full details available on request.
