It’s the future. Aliens are in charge and curious about a thing humans used to do called dancing.

But, with no one around to teach them, just how well will they follow the rules and work out the steps? Expect to throw left and right and right and wrong out the window as they make the dance floor their own.

Saturday 9 March, 2.30pm - SOLD OUT!

Tickets for remaining shows available directly from the MAC | 028 90 235053

Three alien beings will take to the dance floor with their very strange interpretation of how humans used to dance.

They are fascinated by ballroom dance and how different body parts move when we dance, from big arm movements, fancy footwork to tiny movements of the head and eyes.
As well as perform their dances for you, they guide and instruct each other as they learn how to lead and follow. They assist with demonstrating patterns and instructing the shape of movement with their very own dance objects to help with their demonstration. So, look out for the  instruction finger, some dancing asparagus, magic cane, some flash handbags and the appearance of their very own pet from outer space.

Created by choreographer Lea Anderson, with music by Steve Blake, costumes and objects by visual artist Tim Spooner and lighting design by Ciaran Bagnall.

Performed by Vasiliki Stasinaki, David Ogle and Hannah Rogerson.

All performances will be audio described for visually impaired audience members.
