Young at Art is hosting a research and development morning on Wednesday 7th May, as part of on-going discussions with studio groups and galleries in Belfast about engaging children in the curated gallery experience.

 

Galleries and Families: Research & Development Morning

Time: 10am – 1pm (lunch provided)

Venue:  Office of Important Art, CastleCourt Shopping Centre, Royal Avenue Belfast 

As part of its ongoing discussions with studio groups and galleries in Belfast about engaging children in the curated gallery experience, Young at Art is hosting a morning event to further explore this theme.

With support from CXNI, Oonagh Murphy and Caragh O’Donnell will facilitate a sharing of ideas and experiences, and, through this attempt to:

  • Informally map the skills and connections that exist in the sector;
  • Explore the problems and challenges of engaging with children and families;
  • Identify shared priorities and possible actions.

The session will support future collaborative work and identify possible collective actions to widen access, grow audiences in a manageable and imaginative way.
