‘All About Play’ is Young at Art’s professional drama training for teachers. We will be running a Degree Enhancement course in Stranmillis University College on the 16th, 22nd and 23rd of May. Numbers are limited to strictly 20 per day to ensure a high quality experience for students.
The training involves a morning and afternoon session with our two professional facilitators covering both preschool and primary practical drama training. Our facilitators are both professional actors with many years experience working with children.
This training is accompanied by ‘All About Playing’ & ‘All About Plays’ Young at Art’s educational drama resource for teachers. These booklets link the drama exercises you will learn on the course to both the Preschool and Primary curriculums and are accompanied by a DVD, which will be made available to all students taking part in the course.
Participants will learn best practice methods of delivering imaginative learning experiences in the classroom with the aim of enhancing student engagement, assisting with classroom management and providing teachers with additional skills and resources which can be adapted for other youth environments.
