A snapshot:
Over 6 days in March 2018 (9-14th), the festival:

  • Presented 129 events
  • Was attended by 31,375 children and adults
  • Presented in 17 performance spaces across the city
  • Programmed 7 International and 14 Local Productions/Performances
  • Involved 11 staff members, 2 paid interns, 119 artists (local and international), 61 professional event managers and 42 Volunteers
  • Included participation by 48 schools with subsidised tickets, resources and teacher training
  • Included Access Programme with Community Transport support
  • Received extremely positive ratings
    • 91% of survey respondents rated their experience as Excellent (71%) or Good (20%);
    • 100% of teachers surveyed stated that they would attend Belfast Children’s Festival
    • 100% of TYANI (Theatre for Young Audiences NI) showcase delegates stated that they would attend again
