Imagine being a superhero in a superhero world far, far away. Invincible, never a quitter; a person no one dared to be mean to...
Blue is a scared, little boy, but nobody knows it. He often stands by himself in the schoolyard.
He is not included when the other boys play football, because he is not very good at it. Instead, he destroys things.
He makes a lot of noise during class and bullies the weak pupils. It’s much better than being bullied yourself. He is afraid of talking to the teachers, and Mum and Dad just get upset.
Blue dreams of being a superhero so that the teachers and the other kids will see that he too is able to do something, and that he’s not a wimp and simply a little speck of dust in the universe.
The artist focuses on the expectations we project onto little boys with all out focus on superheroes and star athletes.
What are the rules of the game, and what happens if you fail to play along? What causes you to fail? Why does the clown Blue fail at being a boy?
