The 2010 programme offers six options, comprising seminars, performances and discussions. A first this year is the inclusion of presentations and academic papers in a two-day symposium on children's theatre. At key points during the festival, there will be opportunities to meet some of the artists and discuss their work. The Symposium Dinner, open to all Making Space delegates, is the highlight of the social and networking opportunities offered by the forum.
Various seminars will explore how artistic practice is informed through work with, for and by children; how space for children and young people to play creatively is considered in our built environment; and how drama and theatre can influence language development in schoolchildren. Making Space 2010 will also feature meetings of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Theatre for Young Audiences Nothern Ireland.
