The Giant is Coming will be touring Northern Ireland to help spread the word about Land of Giants - a spectacular live show which takes place at the Titanic Slipways on the 30 June part of the London 2012 Festival.

Combining interactive installation and live performance the 20-minute event is aimed at six to nine-year-olds and incorporates music, song & movement that tells a magical tale of the giants amongst us.

The Giant is Coming explores what being a giant is like from a child’s perspective and how great things can come from small beginnings, resonating with the theme of ‘Land of Giants’, a spectacular live show which takes place at the Titanic Slipways on the 30 June part of the London 2012 Festival, the spectacular 12-week nationwide celebration running from 21 June until 9September 2012 bringing together leading artists from across the world with the very best from the UK (www.landofgiants.info).

The performance, which will tour in Northern Ireland helps to spread the word about Land of Giants and is inspired by a number of ‘Giants’ that are presentin Northern Ireland’s history, both ancient and modern.

Land of Giants presents a unique tale on an epic scale to an audience of18,000 on the Titanic Slipways on Saturday 30th June. A highlight of theLondon 2012 Festival and NI 2012 Our Time Our Place events programme this spectacular show features state-of-the-art digital animation, dramatic special effects, fireworks, breath-taking aerial performances and a cast and crew of over 500 people.
