Through the Belfast Children's Festival and other projects, Young at Art supports the development and promotion of high quality arts work for and with children and young people. It is committed to helping artists to develop their own practice, providing career paths, training and support for different roles in the creative industries.

Festival programming and projects

The Director arranges all programming year-round, including events, tours in Northern Ireland and beyond, commissions and development projects.

If you have an idea or recommendation for a commission, project or event and would like to discuss it, please contact us. Bear in mind that all work requires advance planning and fundraising and not everything can be acted on immediately.

Young at Art also keeps a register of freelance coordinators, artists and front of house staff. To be included on the register, please send an up-to-date CV with contact details. If you are offered work, you will be required to comply with child protection procedures and provide references, etc.
